We built these courses because existing IT education was either too theoretical or too shallow.
Online Courses Empire was founded in Marseille in 2019 by three software engineers who were tired of watching talented people fail to break into tech — not because they lacked ability, but because existing education was either too theoretical (university) or too shallow (YouTube tutorials). Neither approach consistently produced engineers who could perform on day one of a real job.
We built Online Courses Empire to close that gap. Every course track is reverse-engineered from actual job requirements: we analyse thousands of job postings, interview hiring managers, and study technical assessment patterns to build curricula that map directly to what companies test and expect. If a skill does not appear in interviews, it does not appear in our courses.
Our team has grown to 16 instructors (all active industry professionals), 4 curriculum engineers, and a 5-person career services team. We are based in Marseille but serve students across France, Europe, and 30+ countries worldwide.
18,600 students enrolled. 92% completion rate (the industry average for online courses is 13% — we are 7x higher because our courses are structured, project-based, and supported by real mentors). 86% of graduates employed in tech within 6 months. We believe great education is project-based, mentor-supported, and career-connected. We refuse to sell passive video consumption as "learning."
